Wegovy (semaglutide) is supplied in pre-filled FlexTouch pens designed for once-weekly self-injection. The recommended titration plan follows a 5-step escalation curve to safely reach the 2.4mg weekly maintenance dose.

Yes. In the UK, NICE and the MHRA recognise 1.7mg as an acceptable alternative maintenance dose for patients who achieve satisfactory weight loss but cannot tolerate the full 2.4mg dose due to gastrointestinal side effects.

Each UK FlexTouch pen contains 4 weekly doses. You attach a new disposable needle (supplied with the pen) for each weekly injection.
Does Wegovy need to be kept in the fridge? ↓
Prior to first use, pens must be stored in the refrigerator (2°C – 8°C). After first use, the pen can be stored at room temperature (below 30°C) or in the fridge for up to 6 weeks.
